Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups lightly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup white flour
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 cups large flake rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds (kernels only, no shells)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Beat butter with an electric mixer
Beat in sugar and vanilla
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one
Stir the white flour, brown flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl
Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients
With a wooden spoon, stir in the raisins, sesame and sunflower seeds
Drop the batter onto the cookie sheets with a teaspoon and slightly flatten
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes
Seal in an airtight container
The oatmeal cookies can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 weeks
