  • Beef for stewing
  • 2 qts. Water
  • 1 TBSP dry onion
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 – 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice
  • celery
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, blended
  • carrots, cut into stew size pieces
  • potatoes, cut into stew size pieces



Step 1

Brown the meat in a little bit of oil. Add all remaining ingredients except for the carrots and potatoes. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a while. About twenty minutes before serving add the potatoes and carrots and cook until fork tender.
