Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour, Bisquick or Pamela's Flour
  • 3/4 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt (optional)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg (beaten)

Preparation

Step 1

1) Grease cast iron skillet with Crisco (can use 8x9 pan)
2) Combine dry ingredients.
3) Stir in Milk, Oil, Egg until dry ingredients are moistened.
4) Pour batter into greased skillet/pan.
5) Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown (tooth pick comes out clean).
