Cheese Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz. frozen mixed veggies.
  • 1 cup onions, chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 8 oz jar, cheese whiz
  • 1 1/2 tsp yellow mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Cook frozen vegetables as per package instructions.
set aside.

Saute together:
1/4 cup butter
1 cup onions. Until onions are soft, but not browned.

Blend in:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cup milk
Blend in gradually and heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat and add:
2 cups chicken broth
1 8oz jar cheese whiz
11/2 tsp yellow mustard.
simmer, while stirring until creamy.
add the cooked vegetables ,heat and serve.
