Breads: Sally's Favorite Thanksgiving Rolls - Angel Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 package yeast
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 1 t soda
  • 1 T salt
  • 2 T warm water
  • 2 cups buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix warm water with yeast, dissolve. Add sugar and buttermilk. Sift flour then measure 5 cups. Add salt, soda, baking powder. Work in shortening, add yeast mixture and mix as old time biscuits. Keep tightly covered in refrigerator. Roll dough thin and cut. (Lasts two weeks.)

Bake at 400 degrees.
