Ingredients
- Sift together:
- 2 cups sugar and 2 cups flour
- Bring to rapid boil, then pour over dry ingredients:
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- Add to above and mix well:
- dash of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 . Mix with electric mixer until smooth.
- 2 . Pour into an 11 x 16 x 1.5-inch jelly roll pan.
- 3 . Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
- Frosting
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1 lb confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
1. Bring margarine (or butter), cocoa, and milk to a boil.
3. Remove from heat and stir in confectioners' sugar and nuts.
4. Pour on cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
