Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter?
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 teaspoons soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons ginger
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon cloves

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together first 4 ingredients till fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients and add to molasses mixture. Form small balls. Roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° F. for 8 - 10 minutes.
