Caramel Apple Sticky Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box Apple Caramel Decadent Cake Mix
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 cups hot water
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 can Frosting Creations Frosting Starter
  • 1 package Frosting Creations Caramel Flavor Mix
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Combine the dry cake mix, cider, eggs and oil.

Spoon the mix into a sprayed muffin tin about 3/4 way full, it will yield about 16 portions.

Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean.

In the meantime, whisk together the contents of the small pouch with 1 1/4 cup of warm water and cinnamon to make a thin caramel sauce.

While the cakes are still warm and in the tin poke them with a wooden skewer to make small holes.

Pour the caramel sauce over the cakes and let it absorb as they cool.

Mix together the frosting starter caramel flavor mix and salt.
To serve place one cake on a plate, top with a dollop of the caramel frosting and serve with vanilla ice cream.
