Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb hamburger meat (browned)
- 1/4 cup oil for frying
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tblsp Worcester sauce
- 1 tblsp oregano
- 1 teasp cumin
- 1 pkg corn tortillas
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teasp salt
- 1/4 teasp paprika
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded blended Mexican cheeses
- 3 drops tabasco (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Brown hamburger meat.
Heat tomato paste, garlic salt, worcester sauce, oregano & cumin. Keep warm.
Heat oil to medium-high heat in skillet.
With tongs, dip tortillas in hot oil, one at a time, then into warm tomato sauce mixture, set aside in sprayed 9"X13" baking dish.
Fill with meat & roll up, place in sprayed baking dish with seam down.
In a small saucepan, whisk together melted butter, flour, paprika & milk.
Add in cheese & tabasco. Heat until creamy.
Pour over enchiladas.
Bake at 350 degrees approx 30-40 minutes or until bubbly. Serve warm.
