Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 c flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 3 c sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c butter crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 t lemon juice
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1/4 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together: flour, baking powder & salt.
Cream till fluffy: sugar, butter, crisco
Add on egg at a time to sugar mixture, add vanilla and lemon juice and sour cream.
Alternate flour and sour cream mixture ending with flour.
Stir in 1/4 c milk after adding last flour
Bake 350 for 1 hr and 15 min
