Hot Cinnamon Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teasp cinnamon oil
  • 3 drops red food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, corn syrup & water in a 2 quart saucepan.

Cook until mixture reaches a hard crack stage, stirring several times.

Cool slightly, add cinnamon oil & food coloring, mix well.

Pour onto a foil lined cookie sheet.

Let cool completely, approximately 30 minutes.

Gently tap cookie sheet onto a hard service to break apart candy.

Store in an airtight container.
