Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 4 tblsp Cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 lg eggs
- 1 teasp baking soda
- 1 teasp cinnamon
- 1 teasp vanilla
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tblsp cocoa
- 6 tblsp milk
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 teasp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Heat butter, shortening, cocoa & water to boiling. Our over sifted flour & sugar.
Dissolve soda in butter & milk and add to mixture. Add eggs, cinnamon & vanilla. Beast well.
Pour into a sprayed 9"X13" baking pan and bake @400 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Pour icing over warm cake.
To make icing, heat butter, cocoa & milk. When butter has melted, add sugar & vanilla.
Pour over cake while cake & icing is still warm.
Cool before serving (approximately 20-30 minutes)
