Candied Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 large Sweet Potatoes or Yams (peeled, washed & sliced)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (firmly packed)

Preparation

Step 1

Peel potatoes, wash & slice in 1/2 inch rings.

Place in large saucepan, covered with water.

Bring to a boil & cook for approx 15-20 minutes.

Drain potatoes & place in 9" X 13" baking dish.

Place pieces of butter on top & sprinkle with brown sugar.

Place in 350 degree oven for approx 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender & butter & brown sugar are melted for glaze.
