Petite Fours

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg pound cake
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 pkg cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teasp vanilla
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries (washed, stemmed & thinly sliced)(optional)
  • 1 tube chocolate decorating icing

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar & vanilla; set aside

Slice pound cake in thin slices.

Spread layers with cream cheese icing & thin slices of strawberries

Stack 4-5 layers on top of each other.

Cut shapes with cookie cutters

Place cut out petite fours on cookie cooling rack.

Thin down left over icing with a few tblsp of water a little at a time until a thin consistency

Spoon thin icing over petite fours to coat completely; let dry

Using the tube of decorating icing, drizzle a design on top of each cake; let dry.
