Ingredients

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 2 cups water
  • 500 gram Cottage cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp chicken style seasoning
  • 1 cup soda cracker crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Brown soda cracker crumbs in 1/2 cup of margarine or butter
Cook the oatmeal in the water per the package
Then mix all ingredients and bake on a large pan that has been well greased for 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees
Cool in fridge overnight
Slice into sticks and dip in an egg/milk mixture
Coat with cracker crumbs (or cornflakes).
Fry until golden brown.
Serve with Tartar sauce
After sticks are breaded, and before frying, they freeze well for later use.
