Dad's chocolate cake

Ingredients

• Cake:
• 2 cups flour
• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tblsp soda
• 1 egg
• 2/3 cup cooking oil
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup boiling strong coffee
• Never Fail Frosting:
• 1 cup white sugar 1/4 cup milk
• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry cake ingredients together, add egg, oil and buttermilk. Stir well. Add rest of ingredients, adding coffee last. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan for 40 minutes.

Frosting:
Bring sugar, milk and margarine to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Stir by hand until cool and frosting begins to thicken. Add vanilla, stir. Spread immediately on cooled cake.
