Ingredients
- 2 envelopes gelatin
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups cream

Directions
Soak the gelatin in cold water. Heat the milk in a medium saucepan until simmering. Make sure not to boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for two minutes. Add the gelatin, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Cool completely before adding the cream. Chill for 6 hours.
After cooling, pour into a 4 quart ice cream maker. Follow directions until smooth.
