- Optional Extras:
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup shortening or 1 cup butter
- 2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
- 2 cups Raisin Bran cereal
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 12 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup dates
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
Beat together eggs, sugars and shortening.
Stir in flour mixture until well mixed. Then stir in cereal and oatmeal.
Mix thoroughly. Dough will be stiff.
Add any of the optional mix-ins. If dough is too stiff or crumbly you may sprinkle with a teaspoon of water.
Using an ungreased cookie sheet, pinch off about a teaspoon of dough and flatten on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Cool completely before storing. May be frozen.
