Green Beans with Mushrooms and Cheese

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz. fresh pre-sliced baby portabellas
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


Servings 8


Step 1

Trim beans, if needed. Microwave on HIGH 3-4 minutes or until tender. Slice onion (1 cup).

Drain beans. Preheat large saute pan on medium-high 2-3 minutes. Add beans, onions, mushrooms and pepper. Cook and stir 2-3 minutes or until onions begin to soften.

Stir in cheese until melted. Serve.
