Budin (Puerto Rican Bread Pudding)

Ingredients

  • 3 loaves day old or stale bread
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
  • 6 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 T. ground cinnamon
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 2 c. whole milk
  • 2 cups raisins

Preparation

Step 1

In mixing bowl combine all ingredients until bread is moist.

Pour into a greased 2-3" deep 9x13 inch pan. Spread evenly.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
