Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

• Buttercream Icing
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup softened butter
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 4 cups sifted powdered sugar
• 2 Tlbs half and half or whole milk

Preparation

Step 1

cream shortening and butter until smooth, add vanilla. gradually add the sugar one cup at a time, beating until well combined. when all sugar has been mixed in ( icing will look dry), add in milk and beat until light and fluffy. color at this time.
