COCONUT PIES

Ingredients

  • 1 can evaporated pet milk or
  • (26 oz. sweet milk - omit water)
  • 1 can water
  • 1 ½ C. sugar
  • 4 T. flour
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • ½ C. coconut
  • ●Mix all ingredients except for egg whites and cook over medium heat until thick.
  • ●Pour into two 9 in. cooked pie crusts.
  • ●Beat egg whites and pour over pies.

Step 1

●Bake in oven until meringue is light brown.
