Ingredients
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 1 1/2 C finely chopped onion
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 x19 oz cannedtomatoes, with juice, broken up
- 1/3 C finley chopped celery
- 2 T ketchup
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp dried sweet basil
- 1 tsp dried whole oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in saucepan. Add onion and garlic. Saute until soft.
Add remaining 10 ingredients. Stir together. Heat for about 30 miutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Discard bay leaves.
