Ingredients
- 1 Cup Raisins Cooked in 1/2 Cup Water
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1 tsp. Soda
- 1/4 Cup Shortening
- 1 Egg
- 1 3/4 Cups Flour
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Let raisins cooked in water cool then cream sugar and shortening, then add egg and mix well. Alternately add raisin and water with flour, nutmeg and cinnamon and soda; then vanilla. Nuts may be added if desired. Bake at 350° in an 11" x 16" pan for about 10 - 12 minutes.
Ice with a powered sugar glaze made with powdered sugar and either milk or water.
