Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into1/2-inch slices
- 1 green bell pepper (capsicum), cored, seeded, and chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 can (15 oz, 425 g) chopped tomatoes with their liquid
- 1 Tbs (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 package (10 oz, 280 g) frozen sliced okra, thawed
- Cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste
- Cooked white rice

Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients except the okra, cayenne, and rice in a slow cooker and cook covered on high for 3 to 4 hours, or on low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir in the okra and cayenne pepper and cook covered for 30 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 6 to 8.
