Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon with drippings saved
  • 1 large sweet diced onion
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 6 c. chicken broth
  • 10 large potatoes, baked, peeled, diced
  • 2 c. half ā€™nā€™ half
  • 3 tsp. garlic
  • 3 tsp. dried basil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese

Step 1

Cook bacon and set aside. Cook onions in bacon drippings until transparent. Whisk in flour, and 1 c. of hot broth. Cook 3-5 minutes. Transfer to large crock pot and add remaining ingredients.
