Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sifted flour (oat)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening (substitute with applesauce same amount)
- 1/2 c. oats
- 3 or 4 tbsp. cold water
Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add oats; mix well. Add water, mixing well. Shape into a ball. Press against sides and bottom of 8 inch pie plate.
Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes or until brown.
May fill with pie filling before baking and bake as directed for filling.
