almond crescents

Ingredients

  • cream 1# butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups ground almonds(not blanched)
  • 3 cups pastry flour, or more if needed

Preparation

Step 1

shape into half moons and place 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. bake 350 10-15 minutes until edges of bottom are light, delicate brown. While warm, dip in 3/4 to 1 pound confectionary sugar into which vanilla bean has been mixed.

put dried vanilla bean in cloth and pound with hammer until it is in powered form. mix with powdered sugar.
