Real Italian Style Stuffing

  • 4-5 cups bread crumbs (left over italian bread)
  • 5 unpeeled Fuji or Gala apples (diced)
  • 2 stalks of celery (diced)
  • 1/2 lb sweet italian sausage- 1/2 in pieces
  • 2 large onions (diced)
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp rosemary
  • 2 Tbsp oregano
  • 4 Tbsp sage
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 litre chicken broth
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp parsely
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil



Step 1

Brow sausage on medium heat (reserve fat)
stir bread apples seasonings raisins into the sausage
put olive oil in with the drippings from sausage and heat onions, celery, cook veggies until tender and golden
Add veggies to the stuffing
Beat the seggs stir into stuffing mix
stir in 1 cup at a time. Add oil if moisture is needed (Do not make soggy)
Put in greased pan cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
