Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Vidalia onon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 sheet puff pastry

Preparation

Step 1

Heat butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook 20 minutes, stirring until browned. Add the thyme and salt.

Unfold puff pastry onto greased nonstick baking sheet and prick with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

Spread onions over pastry, then top with Gruyere cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for an additional 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
