Ingredients
- 2 pkgs crescent dinner rolls
- 2 8oz pkgs cream cheese
- 1 egg yolk, save white
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
spread 1 pkg rolls in bottom of 9 x 12 sprayed with pam, pinching holes
cream all other ingredients together and pour on top of crust.
Unroll 2nd pkg rolls and place on top of filling, pinching holes together.
beat egg white til stiff, baste on top of top crust, and sprinkle with 1/4 cup of sugar(and chopped walnuts if desired)
bake 350 for 30 minutes. place in fridge overnite after cooling.
*I thinly sliced a large apple and put slices on top of filling, then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar before putting on top crust. I mixed cinnamon in with my sugar topping on top of pastry as well. The first time I had this, it had thin sliced fresh peaches in it. I think you have to make sure fruit is sliced thin enough to cook in 30 minutes,
