pecan pie

Ingredients

  • 9 - inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup pecan halves

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350F
in a large bowl, combine all ingredients except pecans
mix well, and pour into unbaked pie shell
sprinkle with pecan halves
bake for 45-60 minutes, until center is set
if crust appears to be getting too brown, cover with foil for remainder of the baking time.
let cool, before serving
