Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken Coating:
  • 2-4 Boneless breasts of chicken
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 C cornstarch
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 C canola oil
  • Sweet & Sour Sauce:
  • 4 TBSP ketchup
  • 1/2 C distilled white vinegar
  • 1 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 TSP garlic salt

Preparation

Step 1

1) Preheat oven to 325 degrees

2) Rinse chicken breasts in water & then cut into cubes.

3) Season with salt & pepper to taste.

4) Dip chicken into the cornstarch to coat and then dip into the eggs.

5) Heat up oil in a skillet and cook your chicken pieces until browned-but not cooked through. Place the chicken in a 9x13 greased baking dish.

6) Mix all of your sweet & sour ingredients in a bowl with a wisk and then pour over the chicken.

7) Bake fore 1hr, turning the chicken pieces every 15minutes.
