    cup butter, softened

  • cup confectioners' sugar

    teaspoon Spice Islands® pure vanilla extract

    cups all-purpose flour

  • ¼

    teaspoon salt

  • cup chopped dates

  • ½

    cup chopped nuts

  • Additional confectioners' sugar


In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in milk and vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in dates and nuts. Roll into 1-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 325° for 22-25 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Roll warm cookies in confectioners' sugar; cool on wire racks.
