Nana's Pound Cake

I have also made this with Almond flavoring instead of vanilla. Use 1.5 t. of Almond. When I do this, I don't use a cream cheese frosting but the frosting from the Almond Puff recipe. Delicious either way. And despite the directions to use Imperial, I always use Butter.
Ingredients
- 1 1 pound box powdered sugar
- 3 cup flour
- 6 egg
- 1 lb butter or margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
1. Recommended fat is Imperial margarine. Cream Imperial and add powdered sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir in flour. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake 50 mins at 350F. Using a tube pan, bake for 1 hr. & 15 mins. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting
