Ingredients

  • 2 CUP MILK
  • 1 T. BUTTER
  • 1 PKG YEAST
  • 1/4 CUP WARM WATER
  • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  • 2 EGGS
  • 1 1/2 t. SALT
  • 6 CUP FLOUR

Preparation

Step 1

SCALD MILK & BUTTER ....... LET COOL
MIX WARM WATER & YEAST .... LET SIT 10 MIN.
ADD SUGAR TO YEAST MIXTURE
BEAT THE 2 EGGS AND SALT ..... ADD TO YEAST MIXTURE
STIR TOGETHER MILK & YEAST MIXTURES
STIR IN FLOUR 2 CUPS AT A TIME TIL MIXED
KNEAD DOUGH & LET RISE IN A GREASED BOWL TIL DOUBLE IN SIZE
PUNCH DOWN
PINCH OFF GOLF BALL SIZE PIECES AND ROLL 1/2t. BUTTER INTO THE CENTER OF EACH
PLACE IN GREASED PANS (I USE 2 9X13 PANS)
COVER & LET RISE TIL DOUBLE (1 HOUR)
BAKE 375 DEGREES 10-15 MIN. TIL BROWN
BRUSH WITH MELTED BUTTER AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT OF THE OVEN
