Ingredients
- 1 lb bulk Italian pork sausage
- 1 pouch (9 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy three cheese cooking sauce or Three Cheese Sauce (recipe below)
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked mini lasagna (mafalda) noodles or medium egg noodles (3 oz)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper*
Preparation
Step 1
1 In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain.
2 Stir in 1 1/2 cups water, the cooking sauce and noodles. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium.
3 Simmer uncovered about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat; sprinkle with cheese. Cover; let stand 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with bell pepper.

THREE CHEESE SAUCE
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 ((3 oz). pkg. cream cheese
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and heat mixture over medium-low heat until cheese melts and thickens. Stir often.
