Reuben Stromboli

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 8-oz. bottle Russian or Thousand Island salad dressing, divided
  • 1/2 lb. sliced deli corned beef, chopped
  • 14-1/2 oz. can sauerkraut, well drained
  • 1/2 lb. sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • Optional: caraway seed

Preparation

Step 1

On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a 15-inch by 12-inch rectangle. Spread 1/3 to 1/2 cup salad dressing down the center of rectangle. Layer corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese slices down the center. Starting at one long edge, roll up; pinch ends to seal.

Place seam-side down on a lightly greased baking sheet. Brush with egg white; sprinkle with caraway seed, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden. Slice; serve warm with remaining salad dressing.

Makes 8 servings.
