Cranberry walnut oarmeal cookies

  • 3/4 cup crisco butter flavor shortening or 3/4 if 1 stuck
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tspl salt
  • 2 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts



Step 1

Coat baking sheets with no-stick spray. Beat shortening, sugar, brown sugar, vanila and eggs. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients. Mix till smooth; then add rolled oats, cranberies, and nuts. Drop by a rounded tablespoonfuls about 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 mins. or until light brown. Cool on sheet for 2 mins. then move to cooling rack.
