Aunt Dot's Turtle Brownies

Family Recipe. Cake Mix with Caramel and Nuts. Makes great brownies.

Ingredients

• 1 Box German Chocolate Cake Mix
• 3/4 Cup Melted Margarine
• 2/3 Cup Evaporated Milk
• 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
• 6 oz Chocolate Chips
• 1 14oz Bag Caramels.

Cooking time 45mins

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat Oven 350 degrees.
Combine cake mix with margarine and 1/3 cup milk.
Spray a 13x9 pan or use non stick foil.
Press half cake mix into pan.
Bake 7 minutes.

Meanwhile melt caramels with rest of milk in microwave stirring every minute until smooth.

Remove cake from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over cake.
Top with rest of cake mix and then caramel. (may have to spoon dollops of caramel over mixture and press into it)
Bake 20 minutes.

Refrigerate to be able to cut into squares.
