Ingredients
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 pounds mixed ground beef, veal and pork
- 1/2 small onion minced
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin oil
- 3 1/2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound of spaghetti
Preparation
Step 1
1. In small bowl, combine bread crumbs with milk. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with the soaked bread crumbs,onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, egg, salt and pepper.
2.Form the meat mixture into medium size balls. In a deep nonstck skillet, heat olive oil.Add the meatballs and cook over moderately high heat, turning meatballs occassionally, until browned all over, about 7 minutes.
3. Drain meatballs in paper towels
4. Add meatballs to marinara sauce; cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through
5. Meanwhile , cook spaghetti til al dente
6. Drain and serve with meatballs, marinara and feshly shaved parmigiano-reggiano
