CHINESE FIVE SPICE PECANS

Take one egg white and whisk at least 30 seconds until foamy. Then add 1/2 c granulated sugar, 1/3 c packed brown sugar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well, then add 4 3/4 c (1 1/4 lb) pecans and loss to coat. Then put on a parchment lined baking sheet and spread into single layer and bake in a pre heated 250 degree oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Mix/turn a few times through cooking process. Transfer to a wire rack for cooling. I DID THIS 11/2011 AND EVERYONE LOVED THEM. THEY WERE VERY GOOD, WOULD BE GOOD FOR A PARTY.
