Linzer Tarts

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cups butter (2 1/2 sticks)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp Almond extract
  • Raspberry preserves - seedless

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375

Cut butter into flour. Once combined add the remaining ingredients (except for preserves).

Roll out and cut dough. Each cookie gets 2 halves.

Bake 12 - 15 minutes - until lightly golden brown.

After cooled, place small amount preserved onto bottom cookie. Top will 2nd cookie. Press lightly to distrbute preserves. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
