- 8 pieces cubed steak, cut large pieces in half
- 1 lg. onion, sliced into rings
- enough flour for dredging the steak
- salt and pepper
- onion powder to taste
- garlic powder to taste

Sprinkle seasonings on both sides of steak real well. Dredge each piece of steak with flour and brown on both sides in hot oil. Place the first layer of steak in a fairly large casserole dish, cover with some of the onion slices. Repeat until all steak and onions are used. Sprinkle a couple tablespoons of extra flour over everything and add enough water to barely cover the meat and onions. Cover and bake in a 350-degree oven for about 2 hours. Serve gravy over cooked rice or mashed potatoes. Serve with yellow or green veggies.
