Pork Chops with Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • Mustard Sauce Recipe:
  • 1 Tablespoon butter (I have used nucoa margarine to make this a lactose free recipe)
  • 1 Tablespoon flour (I have used GF flour with success to make this a GF recipe)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Cup milk (I have used rice milk to make this lactose free)
  • 3 Tablespoons Mustard (you can use GF mustard)
  • 1 Tablespoon Horseradish (optional! I don’t add it, my dad who created this recipe does)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter; stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in milk. Reheat to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in mustard and horseradish (I prefer to just use 3 Tablespoons of Dijon mustard). Spoon mustard sauce over pork chops. The mustard sauce also makes a great gravy over mashed potatoes. I served the pork chops with mashed potatoes and peas with basil.
