Ultimate Seven Layer Dip

1 can refried beans
1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix -- or more to taste
1 cup salsa
1 cup lettuce -- shredded
1 cup Mexican style cheese -- shredded
1/2 cup green onion -- chopped, thin
2 tablespoons ripe olives -- pitted

Mix beans with taco seasoning and spread in bottom of 9 inch glass pie plate. Layer remaining ingredients on top and cover tightly. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight until chilled. Serve with tortilla chips or assorted crackers. A nice layer also would be guacamole or served on the side.
