Ingredients
- 1 36- oz. bottle of catsup
- 2 c. water
- 2 medium to large chopped onions
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 t. garlic powder
- 3 T. chili powder
Preparation
Step 1
Mix sauce ingredients together and pour over the meat in a roasting pan. Lift the meat so the sauce is completely over, and under, it. Cover, and bake at 300 degrees for five hours.
Remove from oven, and cut the meat into large meatloaf-style pieces. Then flake apart each piece of meat right into the sauce, with a fork.
(This recipe also works well for barbecued beef. I use a sirloin tip roastk, or another very lean cut of beef.)
Yield: 25-30 sandwiches made with about 1/2 c. barbecue.
