Crumb Topped Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Filling:
- Single pie crust (use your favorite recipe)
- 5 large tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 5 tsp flour
- 1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Topping:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cold butter

Preparation
Step 1
Line pie pan with pastry.
Place sliced apples in crust. Combine the sugar, flour and cinnamon and sprinkle over the apples.
Combine flour and sugar in small bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 450 deg. for 10 mins; reduce heat to 350 deg. and bake 50-60 mins. longer or until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbling. Cool on a wire rack.
