River House Special Grits

Grits with cheese and casserole.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups quick grits
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 lb pasteurized cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 11 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 3 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Cook grits in water according to package directions.
Remove from stove, add butter and cheese. Beat.
Add Tabasco sauce. Beat in eggs. Bake in a large buttered casserole in preheated 375 oven for 1 hour.
