Mamma's Hamburger Steak

Like most of my recipes, this one is so easy and scrumptious! The gravy is delicious with potatoes and a steamed vegetable!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 2 ingredients until well incorporated. Shape into 4 patties. Cook in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat about 2 minutes on each side. Drain and remove from skillet. Saute onion and bell pepper in skillet until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Add back patties, cover, and reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes. Uncover and cook 5 more minutes. Eat!
